Sleep Apnea Treatment in Doral, FL Testing, diagnosis and long-term treatment for patients across Doral and the northwest side of Miami-Dade.
Doral runs on early mornings and long days, and sleep is usually the first thing that gets cut. We see a lot of patients from Downtown Doral and the business corridor who have been running on five or six hours for years and want to know whether something else is going on.

Do you have sleep apnea?
Our Miami office is minutes from Doral, and we schedule early and late so the visit is not fighting midday traffic. In a lot of cases the sleep study itself can be done at home, which means the only trips in are the consultation and the follow-up.
Loud, chronic snoring
Especially the kind a partner complains about, or snoring that stops and restarts through the night.
Gasping or choking in your sleep
Usually noticed by someone else. It is one of the more specific signs of obstructive sleep apnea.
Tired no matter how long you sleep
Eight hours in bed and still exhausted at 2 PM is not normal, and it is the complaint we hear most.
Morning headaches and dry mouth
Waking up with a headache or a parched throat several days a week is worth mentioning.
Trouble concentrating or short fuse
Memory slips, irritability and brain fog often get blamed on stress when the cause is fragmented sleep.
Blood pressure that will not come down
Untreated sleep apnea makes hypertension harder to control, which is often why a primary care doctor sends someone here.
How sleep apnea gets diagnosed
Sleep apnea is confirmed with a sleep study, which measures how often your breathing is interrupted per hour. That number is what determines whether it is mild, moderate or severe, and it is what treatment gets measured against later.
The overnight sleep study
Sleep apnea is confirmed with polysomnography, an overnight study that records your breathing, oxygen levels, heart rhythm and sleep stages. We run two sleep labs in Miami-Dade, three private rooms each, with a full or queen bed, fresh linens and a TV. It is a bedroom with sensors, not a hospital ward.
What the results tell us
The study counts how many times per hour your breathing is interrupted. That number is what separates mild from moderate from severe, and it decides what treatment makes sense. It is also the baseline we measure against later, so we can tell whether treatment is actually working.
If you work nights, say so at the consultation. A sleep study has to be scheduled around when you actually sleep, not when the calendar says night, and getting that wrong produces results that do not mean much. We schedule around real shift patterns.
What treatment actually looks like
There is more than one route, and the right one depends on how severe your apnea is and what you can realistically live with every night.
CPAP and PAP therapy
The most established treatment for obstructive sleep apnea. The machine is only half of it. Getting the pressure, the mask fit and the humidity right is what determines whether you actually keep using it past the first month.
Equipment and supplies in-house
We are licensed by Florida AHCA to dispense durable medical equipment directly, so your CPAP and everything that goes with it comes from us. Masks, cushions, headgear, tubing, filters and water chambers, billable through many insurance plans.
Weight management
Weight and obstructive sleep apnea drive each other in both directions. Because this practice covers obesity medicine, that side gets handled here rather than referred out.
Follow-up and adjustment
Treatment is not one appointment. We check your data, adjust settings, change masks and keep going until the numbers and how you feel both line up.

Doral only became a city in 2003, which makes it one of the youngest municipalities in Miami-Dade and one of the fastest growing. It sits between the airport and the Turnpike, and it is built around work: corporate offices, logistics and warehousing along NW 25th Street, and a large Venezuelan community that has settled in Downtown Doral and Doral Isles over the last two decades.
That shows up in what walks through our door. Long commutes, early flights, rotating shifts, and people who have been treating five hours of sleep as normal for years. Our Miami office is on Le Jeune Road just east of the airport, which is a short run down NW 36th Street rather than a trip down the Palmetto.
Doral also has a particular problem we see less of elsewhere. Warehouse and airport schedules push people onto nights or split shifts, and that is its own diagnosis. Shift work disorder is a circadian rhythm condition, not sleep apnea, and it gets treated differently. Sorting out which one you actually have is the point of the first visit.
Sleep apnea is not the only thing we handle
If your sleep study comes back clear, that does not mean nothing is wrong. The practice covers the rest of sleep and pulmonary medicine too.
